The team’s current status

December 21, 2009

Hello all!

Okay, so I know a lot of people are probably wondering about what’s going on in the team, if we’re still subbing etc. So I’ll give you a little report of our current status! :)

Firstly, we’re not dead (yay!), we’re still subbing. It’s only some old stuff though, and we’re doing it at a pretty slow speed. Right now, as our first priority, we’re trying to finish We got Married Lunar New Year Special, which I know many people have been looking forward to. We have translated and timed nearly all of it, about 18 minutes are left.

We’re also working on Change episode 3, 4 and 5.
Episode 3 has been translated and timed, and is currently stuck at spot-translating.
Episode 4 has been translated, timed and edited, and is currently being spot-translated.
Episode 5 has been translated, timed and is currently being edited.

We are working on Idol Show Season 1 episode 6, 7, 9 and 14 too, however I’m not sure if we’ll finish all of them because episode 6 and 7 are still being translated/spot-translated, and not many people seem to be interested in them anyway. As for episode 9 and 14 though, we’ll try to finish them since we’ve gotten quite a lot of requests on those episodes. Both episode 9 and 14 have been translated and timed, and are currently being edited.

Then we have Unbelievable Outing Season 3 episode 7 and 8, Star Golden Bell episode 162, Yashimmanman Season 2 episode 1 and Idol Show Season 2 episode 3. However they’re not our priority at the moment.
UO Season 3 episode 7 has been translated, timed, edited and is currently stuck at spot-translating.
UO Season 3 episode 8 has been translated and timed, and is currently in need of editing.
Star Golden Bell episode 162 has been fully translated and about 60% timed. It’s currently being edited.
Yashimmanman Season 2 episode 1 has been translated and timed, and is currently being edited.
Idol Show Season 2 episode 3 has been translated, timed and edited, and is currently stuck at spot-translating.

So, that’s it ^^ I’m sorry for the lateness, I know you’ve been waiting for a really long time. Ever since we stopped subbing We got Married the team has started to die down more and more, unfortunately. Right now we’re in desperate need of Korean translators and Spot-translators. Nearly all the projects need a Spot-translator. So if you understand Korean and are able to translate from Korean to English, please help out! Or if you know someone who might be interested, please let him/her know about us!

If you’re interested or have any questions about anything, you can e-mail tungtungsubs@hotmail.com and we’ll reply asap!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ^^

Youtube account deleted – looking for uploaders & spot-translators!

June 13, 2009

Hello everyone!

So, at last, TungTung fansubs’ youtube account got suspended by request of SBS, and so all our subbed videos got deleted. It’s really a pity, but there’s nothing we can do about it since SBS actually do own the content, even though we made the subs. This has always been a big problem for fansub groups, unfortunately :/ So, now we’re going to create a new account, but we need uploaders who can cut and re-upload our subbed videos to the new account. So if you know how to cut videos into 10 minute parts and are interested to help out, please e-mail tungtungsubs@hotmail.com! We would appreciate your help a lot ♥

We’re also looking for spot-translators, please read the note below:

Thank you! ^^

No more WGM subs after episode 43

February 22, 2009

We’re currently working on subbing episode 42 and 43 of We got Married, but after those are completed, we probably won’t be subbing any more episodes. The reason is because it’s just too hectic for the translators. I know that there are individual people subbing/translating some couples’ parts, so we could use their translations, but even if we did, there would still be a lot left to translate since the episodes are so long (not all couples have individual subbers, so we would still need to translate about half of the episodes). So unless the translators get some more free time, or we manage to get another translator, we’re not able to sub anymore. I’m really sorry.

Please look forward to our other projects though! We’re currently subbing Family Outing episode 9 & 10 together with Ramen Soup Subs, and a lot of other variety shows as well!

Regarding We got Married

January 18, 2009

So, the strike/protest is over, at least for the moment. And we’ve decided that we will continue subbing We got Married. We don’t know for how long we will be able to continue subbing it, but we will at least sub episode 41 :)

Right now we’re looking for experienced timers who would like to help out with WGM. With “experienced timers” I mean timers who knows how to time and are able to do it quickly and well. If you’re interested, please send the following application to tungtungsubs@hotmail.com:

Name: (Real name or just nickname)
Position: (Timer)
Experience: (Tell us a little about what you’ve done before, or perhaps show us some of it)

Regarding We got Married/the strike

January 5, 2009

Many people might already know this, but apparently there’s some strike/protest going on among MBC’s scriptwriters/editors right now, so all MBC’s shows (including We got Married) will be postponed until the strike is over. So this means that there will be no more WGM episodes for a while. I don’t know for how long this strike will last, but perhaps a couple of weeks.

Since I’m not sure how long the protest will last, I also don’t know if we will be able to continue subbing it when the strike is over. It depends on what the team is doing right then. Hopefully it won’t last too long so we’ll be able to go back to subbing as soon as possible.

We got Married

December 18, 2008

We have gotten many questions about who will continue to sub We got Married now when muish has stopped subbing it. A lot of people are wondering if TungTung fansubs are going to continue subbing it on our own now. So to answer everyone’s question: TungTung are currently considering picking up the project ^^ It’s a very big project though, so I can’t promise you that we will be able to do it, but we will give it a try ^^ We won’t be able to sub it as quickly as muish of course, but we will at least give it a shot.

Would you like to help to sub We got Married? :D
We need korean translators and experienced timers. With “experienced timers” I mean diligent people who knows how to time and are able to time each episode in about 1-2 days. The korean translators doesn’t need to have any experience in translating, but you should be pretty much fluent in both Korean and English ^.^ If you would like to help out, please send this form to tungtungsubs@hotmail.com:

Name: (Real name or just nickname)
Position: (Korean translator/Timer)
Experience: (Tell us a little about what you’ve done before, or perhaps show us some of it)

Thank you for reading! And Merry Christmas everyone~ ^o^

Welcome to TungTung’s new wordpress!!

November 8, 2008

As you can see, TungTung fansubs have now moved from Livejournal to WordPress! There will be some changes, of course, but I hope you won’t be too confused hehe ^^” To find the english subbed HQ videos, just look for “HQ Downloads” to the right and click on the show you’d like to see, and then the download links will show up just as normal. I hope this will make it easier for everyone to find what you’re looking for now when the downloads are a bit more organized.

ALSO, I just wanted to make it clear that right now, muish is the one who’s subbing We got Married, and TungTung fansubs are just hardsubbing and providing HQ downloads for her subtitles. So if you would like to thank someone for the We got Married subs, you should thank muish at her wordpress! ^^
